Merweville
Merweville is about 45 km North West of Prince Albert Road. The town was established on the farm Vanderbylskraal in 1904 and named after pastor P van der Merwe (1860-1940), minister of Beaufort West of the NGK. Come and visit the popular Boek Klub Coffee Shop and where the TV series took place - Die Boek Klub. Our church, rectory and Mall were also seen on the screen occasionally! Here is a lovely style path up to the copy where you can see and enjoy the whole town! Come and talk to Belia van Muller Handelaars, or as most know it, Belia's shop! If you are lucky, Auntie Marie is also there to colour your day! Merweville Mall is also a must-see! You have never been so crazy! Come and walk through our quiet and clean streets and experience how Merweville used to have street lights in earlier times! Also, don't miss our annual Thanksgiving in April where more than 3000 pancakes are sold! Every September we also have a Lamb and Olive Festival where you have the opportunity to pass by stalls in or in front of residents' houses and buy locally produced and homemade products!
