Sement pad
Part of the R329 between Willowmore and Steytlerville is a single-lane cement road. The road was completed in 1954 with cement because it was more economical than building with asphalt.
36km of the road are single-lane, so you play “chicken” up to a point, and then you drive wide-legged on one side of the cement and one side of the dirt.
On the north side of the road, you drive along the breathtaking Grootrivier mountains.
