Bucklands Gasteplaas / Guest Farm
Bucklands is a 5th generation family farm in the South Eastern corner of the Great Karoo.
We are very involved in mountain bike events, motorcycle groups, 4x4 events, as well as hiking tours and horse tours to provide meals and accommodation. The large reception hall with campsites at its doorstep, is ideal for such gatherings but is also used for functions, weddings etc.
The Ouwerwe is the original farmstead and is ideal for nature lovers looking to escape from their mobile phones. The house sleeps 12 guests in 3 rooms and has all self-catering supplies.
Ghe Ghe is a restored shepherds hut, close to the mountain, and serves as a hiker's hut, but is a must for getaway guests with 4x4 or mountain bikes. It's a unique experience, away from everything, in the very heart of nature.
The 3 and 5 day hiking trails are popular and take hikers through the Grootrivierspoort, one of the most beautiful places in the Karoo!
