Singkoppe se storie
These hills that overlook Williston from the north got their name as Singkoppe after Mr Beineke took the initiative around the 1845s to lay out a footpath to the summit of the sugar bread formation hill. Under his leadership, a weekly singing festival was held on the top of the hills.
In the depression years, it is said that Christmas carols were sung on Old Christmas Eve from the Sangkoppe.
