The Historic Calvinia Walking Tour offers a quick look at some of Calvinia’s buildings with historical significance. Nigel Amschwand put together this historical walking tour. He works as a mechanical engineer in industrial refrigeration, but he is also passionate about history and archaeology, especially in the Northern Cape. He has written two books on the topic: A Short History of the Onder-Bokkeveld and 1847 Dispossession and Migration.
