Louisseplaas

Louisseplaas is a family run off-the-grid farm located at the top of the spectacular Bamboes Mountain range near Hofmeyr.  

The farm offers accommodation to those who would like to get away from the big city life for a bit and reconnect with nature. Enjoy cozy farm style accommodation for up to 15 guests. Guests are welcome to get involved with the farming activities, go for walks or even get on a horse and go for a ride!

At Louisseplaas, most of the food that is consumed is grown on the farm for example meat, eggs and vegetables.  Homegrown just adds value and appreciation to the everyday life and functionality of the farm.  Cattle, sheep, goats and hunting are all part of the farming enterprise.  

Come and experience the warm hospitality that Louis and Margeurite Hattingh have to offer.  Enjoy home baked breads with farm fresh butter and jams or homemade wors fresh off the braai!

Join a class on baking bread and making cheese & butter in the milkshed.

Activities include swimming in farm dams, mountain biking, hiking, photography, 4x4, and horse riding.
